HOW LONG DOES A MIX USUALLY TAKE?
Depends on how busy it is at any given time, but on average usually 3 days.
IS MY MIX INCLUDED IN THE RECORDING PRICE?
No, you will receive a rough mp3 version of your song. Professional mixing and mastering are separate. (rates can be found on the ‘Mixing & Mastering pages
HOW SHOULD I SEND MY FILES FOR MIXING AND MASTERING?
All files should be sent in WAV format. Vocals should have NO effects on them. Beat files can be left exactly how you have them with effects. If you recorded in Pro Tools you can also just send me the entire Pro Tools session or program it was recorded in.
I’M IN A RUSH, IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET FASTER RETURN TIME?
Yes, but it comes with an additional fee. There will be an additional $70 fee. However, you get bumped to the front of the list and will receive the song back within roughly 24hours.
CAN YOU MIX THE SONG WITH THE CLIENT THERE?
Having the client present usually slows down the process. However, preferably the client can book a studio in New York City for 2-3 hrs. This opportunity allows the client to get in studio footage and be a part of the mixing process. Or we can assist with wave stream live audio 24 bit streaming.
WILL THE QUALITY OF THE MIX STILL SOUND PROFESSIONAL IF I RECORD IT ON MY OWN?
This gets a yes and no response. A lot of people prefer to record on their own using their own home setup. So if your home setup quality is good, then yes it will translate to a good mix. However, if the tone of the room you’re recording in is bad, or the quality of your microphone isn’t as good, then the mix might not sound totally 100%. It will still be cleaned up to its full potential but might not sound as good as something recording at a professional studio.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I HAVE TO GIVE TO BOOK IN STUDIO MIXING SESSION?
As soon as possible preferably a week in advance.
WILL THERE BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR A CLEAN VERSION?
Please see our packages and pick what suits your needs
